Did my opponent deploy the first unit? Is the number of my opponent's units that are left to be deployed greater than, equal to, or less than the number of units I have left to deploy? Knowledge of whether or not you are going first should be a matter of simple mathematics. (Always remember to use celetape when bubble wrapping your models) Mrhappyface wrote: But if you get first turn then your entire bubble wrap will fly away. But I'm pretty sure that argument is insane, and would also lead to things like infantry models being able to move across the bases of things like Wraithknights, Wraithlords, and Riptides so long as they don't touch the actual models on those bases when they do it. I mean, I guess if I wanted to be That Guy I could note that the movement restrictions do not mention the model's base so unless the flyer physically blocks access with its model, someone could just move through it. It cannot be moved through other models or through terrain features such as walls, but can be moved vertically in order to climb or traverse any scenery.Īm I missing something here? Is there any reason why I can't physically block access to my army with my flyers? No part of the model’s base (or hull) can move further than this. The relevant rules, as far as I can tell:Īirborne: This model cannot charge, can only be charged by units that can FLY, and can only attack or be attacked in the Fight phase by units that can fly.Ī model can be moved in any direction, to a distance, in inches, equal to or less than the Move characteristic on its datasheet. Can I use flyers to screen my army against turn 1 charges?
